The Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau presents a special Plaque to the WVU Army ROTC Mountaineer Battalion in recognition of their commitment and involvement in the Wild Warrior Challenge. The WVU Army ROTC designed and built the 5K Obstacle course for this year’s Wild Warrior Challenge. On behalf of the many sponsors of the Wild Warrior Challenge and the Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau we would like to thank the WVU Army ROTC for making this year’s race a great success.
We’d also like to remind all area artists and fans of the page alike to submit their entries for Submission Saturday by emailing a photo with details and a description to Matthew.Sunday@mail.wvu.edu. In this first entry, local photographer Steven Prunty captured a scrum in front of the Alderson-Broaddus goal when the school came in to play the WVU women’s soccer team in their final spring match. WVU went on to win 3-0. Prunty took the photo using Rokinon’s full-manual 8mm fisheye lens on the new Nikon D800.

Jean Donley of South Park shares the history of Bobette’s Grocery, a small grocery store in South Park that has been in operation for more than 45 years. Donley teared up while talking about the passing of Bobette, and shared how she had become so close to her during the times they had worked with her.

Jonathan Kimble, the WVU Mountaineer for the 2012-2013 school year, posed for a few photos at Milan Puskar Stadium after the Gold-Blue Spring Game Saturday night. Art Director Matt Sunday combined three exposures of Kimble to create this high dynamic range (HDR) portrait of him.
